My Microsoft Ambassador Journey Through My First Webinar as Speaker

In December of last year, I was selected to be a Microsoft Ambassador, which meant I’d get to help people learn about Microsoft technologies.

As I progressed in my role, I had a significant milestone to achieve: completing a session to move up in the program. However, I found myself grappling with nerves as the day approached.

Fortunately, I had a supportive network of friends and mentors who offered words of encouragement. They reminded me that

“ Once I started speaking, the stage was mine to own.”

Their reassurance helped ease my anxiety and gave me the confidence to face the challenge ahead.

When the day of the session arrived, I still felt a flutter of nerves, but as I began talking about cloud computing and Azure, I found myself becoming more and more immersed in the topic. Surprisingly, the nerves melted away, and I started to enjoy myself. Sharing my knowledge and insights with the attendees felt natural and fulfilling.

To my delight, the responses were overwhelmingly positive. Comments like “One of the best cloud sessions I have attended” and “Found it incredibly beneficial” filled me with satisfaction. “The session was excellent and very valuable for me.” filled me with satisfaction. Such positive feedback was incredibly gratifying to receive navigated through my first webinar as a Microsoft Ambassador.

This experience taught me an important lesson: that it’s okay to feel nervous, but it’s even more important to push through those feelings and embrace the opportunity to share knowledge and connect with others. As I continue on my journey as a Microsoft Ambassador, I will carry this lesson with me, knowing that I have the resilience and determination to overcome any challenges that come my way.
